NBA Two-way Contracts

New NBA rules introduced for the 2023-24 season permit teams to have up to 3 "two-way" players on their roster at any time, in addition to their 15-man regular season squad. A two-way player will primarily play for the NBA team's affiliated G-League team, but can spend up-to 50 days with the NBA team.

NBA Players Moving Overseas

Major movements

Matthew Dellavedova moves from Sacramento Kings to Melbourne United, and Jonah Bolden moves from Phoenix Suns to Sydney Kings, both in the Australian NBL.

Marko Simonovic formerly of the Chicago Bulls is moving to Serbia to play for Crvena zvezda Meridianbet (Red Star Belgrade).

Dante Exum moves from Toronto Raptors to Partizan Mozzart Bet in Serbia.

New Orleans Pelicans' Willy Hernangomez moves over to Spain to play for FC Barcelona.

Three players moved abroad in the period 20th to 22nd July, they were:
20th: Davon Reed Lakers to Prometey (Latvia)
21st: Kemba Walker Mavs to AS Monaco (France)
22nd: McKinley Wright IV Mavs to Budućnost VOLI (Montenegro)

Willy's brother Juancho Hernangómez joins the family exodus, leaving the NBA's Toronto Raptors to join Panathinaikos in Geece


NBA Players Retiring

Ekpe Udoh (36), an NBA player since 2010 with the Warriors (10-12), Bucks (12-14), Clippers (14-15) and Jazz (17-19) retires as a player and takes up the role of assistant coach at Atlanta.

Lou Williams (36), the former 3x 6th Man of the Year award winner (15,18,19) retired after almost 20 years in the NBA, having played for the Sixers (05-12), Hawks (12-14, 21-22), Raptors (14-15), Lakers (15-17), Rockets (17) and Clippers (17-21)

Luigi Datone (35), played a couple of seasons with the Pistons (13-15) and half a season in Boston, Datone also spent a considerable proportion of his career overseas.
